We have upgraded the Learner Capacity page of the Rotation Lottery

What's better you ask?

1. Now, the selections get unchecked after saving:

Previously, the Learner capacity page would remember the rotations and time periods selections after saving the capacity.
This lead to lots of trouble and hours of manual work for some clients if they were to update other rotations or dates without unchecking the first ones first.
There would also be issues when admins meant to view the capacity, but saved what was selected as capacity instead.

2. We reordered the fields:

We have changed the order of choices for better logic, letting you choose the rotations and time periods before the capacity.

3. We removed the minimum:

Lastly, the minimum capacity was not looked at by the system when running the algorithm, so we removed that part. There is no more minimum.

System Update - January 11 2016

We've added a button for you!

If you’re a bilingual one45 user, you’ve probably wished at some point that you could switch the interface language after you’ve already logged in. We’re pleased to announce that if this has ever happened to you, we now have you covered.

If your school supports English and French, you can now switch between those languages from the personal information page of your eDossier. Simply open your eDossier, and hit the “Switch to…” button and the system will reload with your chosen language.

The system will remember your choice for the next time you log in.

As always, you will also be able to select the language from the login page.

This new button is only visible by a person for their own eDossier.

Admins do not see this button for other users.

Update to Academic Session Scheduling

When creating an academic session the person creating the session has the option to select attendees that are scheduled into a specific rotation.

Previously, the system would add a calendar entry for the academic session for learners, including those who were scheduled into the rotation outside of the session dates.  This could lead to confusion for learners who were not scheduled into the rotation during the timeline of the session.

one45 has updated the system and added a step that cross-checks the Rotation Schedule. This will ensure that when a session is created any learners added as attendees by rotation are ACTUALLY scheduled into the rotation for the date of the academic session prior to posting the session details in their calendar.  Additionally, the system will check nightly for changes to the rotation and update the session entry in learner's calendars if they have been added or removed from the rotation.
