CBME Improvement: EPA Achievement Report now includes number of required observations

The new EPA Achievement Report is available from the eDossier of a learner via their Reports Center and now includes a Required column which will display the number of required observations based on each EPAs unique assessment plan.
  • If you see N/A in this column, the EPA does not have a required number of observations.
  • If you see TBD in this column, please contact us to update this information.
This will assist Competence Committee members, Program Directors and Administrators, as well as Residents so they can see a Resident's total required observations of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs).

Please see this support resource for more information on the features available in this report: How do I see a summary of how many times an EPA has been sent/saved, completed, and achieved

System Improvement: CBME Narrative Feedback report now includes overall score

The Narrative Feedback reports now include the overall score for the associated EPA. This update helps frame the context of qualitative feedback, as you can now see both the evaluator name and the score associated with it.

From the learner’s eDossier > Reports Center > Narrative Feedback > pick the date range and the list you’d like to report on and click Run Report - the newly added column is shown by default:

New CBME Report: See a summary of how many times an EPA has been sent/saved, completed, and achieved

The CBME team is at it again - a new EPA Achievement Report is now available from the eDossier of a learner via their Reports Center.

Competence Committee members, Program Directors and Administrators, as well as Residents will be able to see at a glance a Resident's progress in obtaining observations of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs). With this report, Programs can also determine potential problem areas such as Residents not sending assessments, Attendings not completing sent assessments, and conduct training where appropriate.

The report currently includes:
  • How many EPAs were sent/saved: Count of all EPA forms that have been send and/or saved, but not submitted.
  • How many EPAs were completed: Count of all EPA forms that have been submitted by evaluator.
  • How many EPAs were achieved: Count of all completed EPAs with a score of 4 or 5.

Please note the “achieved” column is a calculation based on a minimum overall score set by the school. It does not mean the learner has been entrusted with that EPA; that decision is made and communicated via the Competence Committee at your institution.

Once you choose a date range and a list to report on, the report will display like so:

Stay tuned: this report will soon display the number of required observations based on each EPA’s unique assessment plan.
